ISO 14001
Maris Polymers has established and applies an environmental management system (EMS) for the design, development, production and distribution of its products following the requirements of EN ISO 14001. The intention of ISO 14001:2004 is to provide a framework for a holistic, strategic approach to the companies environmental policy, plans and actions.
An environmental management system (EMS) according ISO 14001 is a management tool enabling Maris Polymers to:
- identify and control the environmental impact of its activities, products or services,
- improve its environmental performance continually, and to
- implement a systematic approach to setting environmental objectives and targets, to achieving these and to demonstrating that they have been achieved.
REACH
REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals) is the new EU regulation governing chemicals and their applications and has been in force since 01.06.2007. This EU regulation deals with key aspects of the manufacture of and trade in chemical substances. REACH covers not only individual substances and preparations (formulations), but also the products containing these substances.
Maris Polymers fully complies with the EU’s REACH regulation.
VOC
VOC’s (Volatile organic compounds) are organic compounds having an initial boiling point less than or equal to 250 °C measured at a standard atmospheric pressure of 101.3 kPa.
All Maris Polymers products comply with the new EU regulation(2007 / 2010) according maximum VOC levels.
ECOLOGICAL / GREEN PRODUCTS
According the latest trend, Maris Polymers has been developing products to comply with the new low VOC, and hazardous-substances-free ecology standards as the new EU ECOLABEL, the SINGAPORE GREEN LABEL, etc.
